On this private tour, we will explore Fado in Lisbon and Lisbon through Fado, from its origin linked to Brazil to its worldwide consecration.

Between the Mouraria and Alfama quarters, we will visit iconic locations, learn about performers, uncover evocations, films and unique details… all while listening to some fado that may surprise you!

Ancient streets, viewpoints and music reveal stories that tell us about Fado and Lisbon.

Teresa Mouro, co-founder of the cultural project getLISBON, author of numerous articles published on the getLISBON website and specialized guide.

Meet your guide, Teresa Mouro
She was born in Lisbon in 1967.
A designer trained at IADE, she later graduated in History, specialising in Art, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (FLUL).
Her passion for Lisbon led her to embrace the getLISBON project, which she has co-authored with her friend Gracinda Gomes since 2017.
Author of numerous articles published on the website and of the walking tour No Rasto do Terramoto, she is now venturing into guiding — with Fado as the first challenge she has dared to take on.
